> What does it cost to bid?
There is no charge to register or to bid, you only pay if you win an item. The credit card on file will be validated by our software company. This means they will put a "hold" on your credit card for $1 and then reverse that charge within 24 hours. This ensures the card is valid and that you are bidding against only other valid bidders.
> What are the other fees?
If you win an item you must pay a $5 handling fee + shipping, which is for exactly the amount USPS charges us. We will ship with first class if we can to save on costs, but sometimes it is cheaper to use priority mail.

It isn't unusual for new items to be added literally just minutes before the auction begins so check back regularly! We would recommend that you pick the items you would like to bid on and place a pre-bid. Items can be lost in the final seconds due to Internet outages, device power failure, or website or internet provider failures. Our software makes it so that your computer will bid on your behalf just as if it was a live auction it will go up to your maximum amount according to the increments in place if some else places a bid.
For example, if you place a bid of $100 for an item. Someone else bids $60 and nobody else bids, you win your item for $65, ALSO let's say you place a bid of $300 for an item. If someone else bids $300 and nobody else bids, you will still win your item at $300 because it is the first bid (you beat them to the $300 bid thanks to placing a maximum bid).
We are utilize a soft close auction. This means if anyone bids in the final seconds before an item closes then bidding extends 2 minutes and everyone will only have 2 minutes total to bid again. This is to keep our process fun and fair by preventing "sniping", where someone could potentially "grab an item away" from the should-be winner by bidding in the very last second.
Finally, everyone should PLEASE READ the terms and conditions. All bidders are bound by the same terms and conditions for this auction. Auction Terms & Conditions Please note: We only ship to the select payment method's billing address! This means the address on your profile is irrelevant, the address connected to the payment method you select at registration for each auction is where we are sending your items.
Be sure the card you select has the billing address where you want to receive your merchandise. Due to high amounts of fraud there is no exception to this rule. To be clear, you hereby understand that if you have items shipped to the wrong address due to not updating your billing address, it is up to you to try to recover those items, not us! USPS / UPS are helpful in the recovery process sometimes but we are not them and have no special contacts with them which can help nor special information which can assist, so please register carefully and we apologize for any inconvenience. We would not implement this policy if it was not absolutely necessary, we are experiencing a very high number of stolen credit card registrations and this is our only option to protect ourselves and our loyal customers.
By registering to bid you hereby understand and agree that we, Garnet Gazelle, are not responsible for any technical or personal errors / issues which occur to you the user (you the registered bidder), meaning you are responsible for payment of the items that you win as well as all fees which are described and available to read before auction registration. There are no valid explanations or excuses to void your bids, period. These Terms & Conditions act as a legally binding contract. If your toddler, grandfather, or pet cat was bidding on your behalf, you still have to pay for the items as you're the person responsible for your account.

All items are sold as-is with no warranties expressed or implied except where "Genuine", "Natural" or "Authentic" is used, for example, all gemstones should be assumed to be lab created / synthetic if those words are not included in the item description. Whether synthetic or otherwise you should assume the gemstone has been treated or use your best judgement based on available photos and information, we can not guarantee what, if any, treatments have been done on any gemstone. Any item described to be sterling silver is guaranteed to be, likewise with gold items. Garnet Gazelle has the right to accept or decline return requests. You hereby agree to contact Garnet Gazelle before filing a chargeback dispute to give us the opportunity to work with you to come to a solution. Any chargebacks against Garnet Gazelle will be responded to, you hereby agree to pay a $50 flat fee for our time and labor exhausted to respond to any chargebacks.
We ship all items with bubble mailers through first class or priority mail for at-cost through USPS. However, there is a flat $5 handling fee, no matter how much you buy, per invoice. We also charge a small insurance fee of 02.5%. There is no local pickup allowed.

We ship with USPS for at-cost with first class and priority mail, however, we do charge a $5 handling fee to all invoices whether you bought 1 item or 100 items and regardless of package value. Our average shipping cost is still very low including the handling fee and insurance costs, typically around $8 total for USA residents.
